A History of Wall Fountains
Wall fountains, single face, or façade fountains as they are also known by have been around for centuries.
It is impossible to know who actually invented wall fountains, but I can safely say they were not invented in the western world. Wall fountains have been discovered in the ruins of Pompeii, and in the Middle East,

A hypothesized use of wall fountains was the prevention of servants and spies from eavesdropping on sensitive conversations.
